Intro
Be Everyday Ready
Cyberattacks aren’t simply a future threat – they’re an everyday reality. Started by prominent “shark” Robert Herjavec in 2003, Cyderes is a global cybersecurity powerhouse, delivering managed detection and response services to some of the world’s most complex organizations. But for the rapidly scaling company, a different kind of threat was lurking: their brand.


After an acquisition and change in leadership with CEO Chris Schueler, Cyderes found itself with a powerful offering, yet a fractured legacy brand that didn’t speak to their capabilities. If Cyderes was going to become radically relevant, we needed to help them dodge the tropes of the futuristic cyberworld and ground it in the digital reality of today.



Our friends at PitchMaps handed off the rally cry “Be Everyday Ready,” grounding the strategy behind the visual identity. Cyderes can see attacks before they arrive, meaning they get ahead of a threat before it becomes one. We wanted to visually represent their greatest value proposition as a core of their identity.


The new wordmark features unique and modular letterforms which speaks to the adaptable nature of Cyderes' offerings. Meanwhile, the “C” symbol kickstarts a visual language of undulating bitmap dots. These dots are constantly appearing and disappearing throughout the system, an apt metaphor for Cyderes' ability to uncover and see threats before anyone else could.
ASCII art illustrations and PX Grotesk ground the system in computing, while the coined Cybervolt green contrasts with black to amplify the insight that Cyderes illuminates the threats others can’t see.


The end result is a radically relevant brand brand identity that better communicates their expertise. We developed comprehensive online brand guidelines and led workshops that help empower their team and external partners. However, our work didn’t end there.
Our team truly immersed ourselves with Cyderes and felt like an extension of their team, providing creative direction, design, and project management support to launch the brand on time and successfully.
Through a well-coordinated brand launch effort and campaign, Cyderes saw the benefit of a radically relevant identity. They had an increase of 8,111% in media placements, landing on Yahoo! Finance, MarketWatch, and Business Insider with an earned reach of 158.4M views and 100% positive sentiment across all coverage.
