Putting the “art” back into MARTA
We love Atlanta, and we were thrilled to partner with MARTA, Atlanta's public transit system.
We love Atlanta and were thrilled to partner with MARTA, the city’s public transit system, to launch a compelling identity for a new program designed to engage the public and add some sound and color to stations across the city.
The name Artbound is a unique convergence of two words that illustrate the program’s intent: to activate stations with art and make them signature stops throughout MARTA’s light rail system.
The mark is a bold yet practical A, set into motion with 45° angle to match the iconic MARTA logo.
Since launching, Artbound has already added vivid murals to four stations, which now feature the handiwork of local artists including Fahamu Pecou, Danesha Claxton, Fabian Williams and Andrew Catanese. Additionally, nine stations hosted pop-up performances from nearly a dozen musical acts.
