Introducing the all new Swift School!
Came across these the other day. They're manhole covers in Japan.
The Atlanta airport is adding a new international terminal but there's been controversy over the artwork for it.
Command Records was a label back in the 50's making records for audiophiles.
I was reading an article the other day about Apple and Google (we reference them a lot I know, stay with me.) The article talked about competition between the iPhone and Droid. How regardless of who wins the battle, Google wins the war.
My wife and I just got back from the grocery store. We went to Wal-Mart… and it was miserable. We didn't really want to go but had too. The people working didn't want to be there but had too. Despite the fact that they had 25 registers only 5 were open so the lines were long. The lady in front of us didn't have a skew for some item so the cashier had to hike to northern Wal-Mart to find it. Cashier finally starts scanning our groceries and cramming them in bags. It was just a very unhappy place and a bad experience. They've tried to make it more enjoyable I suppose with the old folks saying hello when you walk in… but I digress.
The Super Bowl is a game of dramatic irony.
There is a lawsuit right now over copyright infringement as it relates to brand identity. The brand on the offensive is North Face, maker of outdoor sport apparel and equipment. They are suing a Mr. Jimmy Winkleman. Not familiar with Jimmy? Jimmy's a freshman at the University of Missouri and still lives with his mom.
I saw this new commercial for Expedia.com over the weekend. The commercial itself was actually pretty cool but they've changed their logo. Instead of the tooney yellow plane flying around the globe, it's a white jet on a circle with a blue gradient. The memorable "dot cooooom" at the end has been re-recorded too. Instead of the barbershop quartet, it sounds more like a women's ensemble from church.
I'm going with Pixar Animation Studios.
I love Disney movies. Always have since I was little growing up in Orlando, FL. Movies like Robin Hood, Dumbo, Aladdin. Each one takes me back to being a kid. For the most part these movies have always been made the same way. From Snow White in 1937 to the Lion King in 1994 its basically been sheets of flippin' paper. That was until Pixar arrived.
