Sharon Sheetrock
Posted by John Bowles on February 23, 2011 ShareThis past weekend I was working on a home fixit project. We were replacing a section of wall where water had been leaking in and rotting out the wood. My dad and I thought we could handle it and started tearing out plaster only to find ourselves in over our heads. So I called a contractor friend to ask who could clean up the mess. He said "Oh yeah… Sharon Sheetrock."
Now, admittedly at first I thought a woman? But I also wondered, that's really all she does? I was curious. Considering my friend's endorsement and the gaping hole in my wall, we gave her a call. Her sales pitch was refreshing. "Ok, I'll come over tomorrow to take look and give you a price. If you like it, I'll fix it." Simple and straightforward. Sharon showed up, gave us an honest price and fixed the wall. Done. What would've taken me two weekends and five trips to Home Depot, she knocked out in three hours.
I love this story because Sharon's reputation preceded her so easily. There was one person that came to mind when I asked my friend about replacing sheetrock. Sharon. And that's because Sharon is focused in peoples minds. She does one thing, sheetrock. And she does it really, really well.

"Well, that's about as straightforward as a brand promise can get! "Have sheetrock problems? I'll fix it." Nice."
