Find a Niche

When you're in an overcrowded marketplace, your best strategy for building a brand is not to try harder but to find a niche that will differentiate you from everyone else. It can be either an industry niche that you serve in many ways or a service niche that goes across many industries.

The interactive space is a perfect example of an overcrowded marketplace, so I was impressed when I met Matt Smith, who created mdscubed, a 360 Interactive Imaging company.  Above is an example of his 360 Interactive Imaging work he did for us. If you're on a mobile device, click here.

Matt has created a great niche where he's not competing for all the interactive work, but rather is a great added service to any interactive firm.  Now the competition has become the client.

What are some other examples of overcrowded industries in need of someone picking a strong niche?
