Regional Brands

Sweet tea in Massachusetts. Cheesesteaks in Phoenix. Bangers & Mash in Decatur. These food items original to specific regions have now made their way out of their home territories and into anyplace U.S.A. Is this a loss of experience? Is there a case for keeping some brands & goods isolated to specific regions?

A brief history of seating arrangements.

I read this article in Wired last year about the evolution of office space design. It suggested that the way offices have been organized over time can show us how attitudes toward work have evolved. I found this fascinating then and was reminded of it today as we discussed similarly the value of transparency in business and branding. Openness and connectedness is desired not only from the people who work for the brand but also from those buy it.
