Matchstic Retreat

Today marks the beginning of one of my favorite traditions at our company, the Matchstic Retreat. Twice a year we completely close down the office for a few days and head out of town as a team.

Work gets so busy and as much as we want to, we can never find time to actually talk about what we're doing, why and what needs fixing.  The only way we've found to do it is to be several hours away from the office staying in the same house together for a few days.

Over the next two days, we will take our company apart and then put it back together.  When I look back on the past 6 years that we've had this company, the retreats are where we have made the biggest advances as a company.  It's where we innovate, have our  own "ah-ha" moments, and begin implementing the best ideas.

We usually find a nice place to retreat to, this time we are in Blue Ridge, GA staying right on Blue Ridge Lake.  Here is a photo taken from my phone looking out of my window this morning.

This will be our last post of the week, and we'll see you all again Monday morning.

Peace out.

Craig

"Y'all have a wonderful retreat -- and a very blessed Easter. Keep praying for us, too. We pray for you, and we'll be in touch."

"The greatest work happens when we take time to be quiet and reflect... when we're deliberate. It's a great tradition you have and hope very soon the FrontFin team will be able to have at least an annual one. We've learnt so much from you guys... especially HOW to work."
