I’m full…more please.

I was reading an article the other day about Apple and Google (we reference them a lot I know, stay with me.) The article talked about competition between the iPhone and Droid. How regardless of who wins the battle, Google wins the war.

If the iPhone continues it’s reign as the smart phone of choice Google could care less. That still equals more people becoming increasingly wired which is ultimately Googles greater interest. The easier it is for people to be online, the greater the chance they will spend their time searching for things on Google. And as we all know, searching/advertising things is Google’s money maker. Basically all the effort they’re putting into the Android OS, the Chrome search browser, the whole concept of “cloud” computing, all that is really for the purpose of keeping you online as much as possible. By Google even entering the smart phone market it raises interest. More people will desire/buy smart phones and subscribe to data plans because of the Android OS. They’ll throw money at it all day long knowing that when they put their name on something, people pay attention. Why? because Google, like Apple, stands for the future. They are the keepers, dreamers, movers and shakers of tomorrow. They are brands that don’t just meet needs but create desire.
