Understanding more than Efficiency
I want to take the time to understand. And understanding does take time.
Quality is better than Speed
I'd rather wait for my coffee from a barista than get it at McDonald's. I'd rather take a year to produce something incredible than have something ordinary today. In today's world anyone can have speed. Not everyone experiences quality.
Authenticity over Awesomeness
I'd rather someone fully know me more so than just think I'm awesome. I'd rather know the real you more than think you're awesome. I'd rather something be good and true, than great and false.
Passion more than Politeness
I'd rather risk offense in passion than forgo impact for politeness.
I find that in each of these my desire is to bring greater humanity to my work. Bring myself more fully to the table. I love seeing these same qualities unearthed as we partner with clients. I think that's why I love what we do in branding so much – it requires humanity to be successful.
I believe good business makes room for the human element.
