YAMMER: my new favorite thing
Posted by Craig Johnson on October 6, 2008 ShareRecently Dustin found this great new technology called Yammer. It is basically Twitter for co-workers, where team members can update each other on what they are working on.
Matchstic quickly setup a Yammer account and we are loving it. It keeps us connected and really helps my email clutter. If you have a large organization, don't worry, you can choose who you's Yammer feed you want to follow. With just 7 of us, I follow everyone, and it helps me know what everyone is doing while I'm out of the office.
I like it so much, I gave them a few testimonial quotes and they used it on there site here.
Go check out www.yammer.com and sign up your team now.

"Rock on, nice to have a teeny bit of free exposure too!
You should post a yammer vs twitter page to help those of us afraid of change...
or both?

"I love this. Ted thinks it's silly when I could just talk to him from across the room, but this is more fun. I bet it works great when there's more than just 2 jacklegs in the same room. Perhaps this warrants hiring a couple more jacklegs..."

"have become a self-professed "m-stic" groupie...but, implementing yammer in our church office. its great. thx!"

"Brandon, it isn't a matter of Yammer vs Twitter. I use both, but to talk to 2 different sets of people. Yammer is to talk with the internal Matchstic team only, Twitter is to talk to the world."

"Either way, Billy, we are all jacklegs."

"I agree that finding Yammer has been great for our start-up. Using it helps our entire start up (11 employees at present) stay connected with each other in a very unobtrusive way. If interested, you can read my entire experience here: flywheelblog.com/2008/09/we-be-yammerin-a-twitter-for-business/"

"I like your insight on Yammer. But not as much as I just love that your name is Mark McGuire. (you probably hate me now)"

"Cool, Craig. They also quote you on the homepage, but they spelled the company name "MatchStick"...in case you want to ask them to fix it ;)"
